As the Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival gets underway, there are many highly anticipated race days ahead, one of which is the Australian Derby Day taking place on the 10th of April this year.
Held at the Royal Randwick Racecourse, there are a number of elite races which will take place, one of which will be the 2010 Adrian Knox Stakes.
Drawing three-year-old fillies from around the country, the Group 3 race has stakes of $125,000 this year, and will be held with quality handicap conditions.

The 2010 Adrian Knox Stakes will be one of the last filly-only events in the carnival and will generate a high tense affair once again.
The stakes are not just about the prize money for the starters as the winner is exempt from ballot for the Group 1 AJC Oaks held on the 17th of April later in the carnival.
Also racing on the 10th of April, as well as the 2010 Adrian Knox Stakes, is a plethora of Group 1 race, notably the Australian Derby (2400m), the T. J. Smith Stakes (1200m) and the Sires Produce Stakes (1400m).
