This Saturday, Sydney’s Royal Randwick Racecourse will be host to the illustrious Australian Derby Day and will see nine fantastic races showcase Australian thoroughbreds, one of which will be the Group 3 Adrian Knox Stakes (2000m).
Rounding off the day’s events, the Adrian Knox Stakes, also known as the Asian Racing Federation Trophy will see 15 three-year-old fillies start at 5pm.
Miss Shamardal and Shadow Miss will start from the inside and outside barriers respectively on Saturday.
One favourite for the race will be the Peter Snowden-trained Status Quo.

Highly regarded trainer Guy Walter has three starters for Saturday’s race with Foxstar, Isola and Ceviche all forming the line up.
Also taking place on Saturday, alongside the 2010 Adrian Knox Stakes will be the headlining event – the Group 1 Australian Derby (2400m), the Group 1 T J Smith Stakes (1200m), the Group 1 AJC Sires Produce Stakes (1400m) and the Group 2 Sapphire Stakes (1200m).
