Alaskan Rose has steadily built to the task through four starts this time and remains outright $4 favourite in 2016 Adrian Knox Stakes betting markets with leading online bookie Ladbrokes.com.au.

Posting two wins and a minor through only eight career starts so far, Alaskan Rose debuted to racing for consecutive win in a pair of minor Victorian races but failed to make anything of an impact in either of the Group 2 Thousand Guineas Prelude (1400m) or Group 1 Thousand Guineas (1600m) and was returned to the paddock.

Resuming this time for sixth in the Andrew Guy plate (1100m) on January 30th, the Encosta De Lago filly again placed sixth in the Group 3 The Vanity (1400m) before a luckless run in the Group 2 Angus Armanasco Stakes (1400m).

Having savaged the line for third in the Group 3 Schweppervescence Trophy (1600m) last time out, Alaskan Rose will have her first run at the Sydney way of going in the 2016 Adrian Knox Stakes.

Sacred Eye is yet to herald much interest in 2016 Adrian Knox Stakes betting markets but remains sole occupant of the second line at generous $4.60 odds.

A strong and consistent performer for David Hayes and Tom Dabernig through spring, Sacred Eye finished second in the MRC Foundation Plate (1400m) on September 19th before charging home to finish a close second to Badawiya in the Group 2 Edward Manifold Stakes (1600m) on October 4th.

Producing a career-best effort to date to win the Group 3 Ladbrokes Caulfield Classic (2000m) on October 17th, the High Chaparral filly ended her campaign seventh in the Group 1 Crown Oaks (2500m).

Having finished fifth in each of The Vanity and the Group 2 Phar Lap Stakes (1500m) this time, Sacred Eye will leave from the ideal barrier 3 with Hugh Bowman aboard but has been charged with lugging a race-high 59kgs on Day 1 of The Championships.

Daisy’s Joy should find a handy position off pace from barrier 11 in the 2016 Adrian Knox Stakes and is worth consideration for a bet at current $7.50 for success or $2.65 to finish in the first three.

Claiming one win and a further three minors through her nine career starts to date, the Street Cry filly will undoubtedly face her biggest career test to date in the Adrian Knox Stakes but carries great form into the race.
